- Reflect upon 2020 + it’s gifts
- Plant seeds of intention for the upcoming year
- Turn inwards during longer yin poses
Find a quiet, dark space to roll out your mat. I recommend a couple pillows/rolled up blankets OR blocks/bolster to support you.
Grab a cup of tea or nourishing beverage, as well as any sacred objects or crystals, and a journal/pen should you wish to document anything that comes up for you.
I also encourage you to have a candle ready to light at the start of class to honor the return of the light.
Lunar Yin Online Series
November-December 2020 – 5 Week Series, or by Drop In
Are you looking to create space this season to slow down + soften?
To feel, release, + restore while engaging in mindful movement of your body?
During this five week virtual series, we will explore the more introspective + nourishing practice of yin yoga, themed around the energetic phases within the lunar cycle.
Why is the moon cycle important? The moon’s cycle offers us the perfect opportunity to go inward – each phase naturally fluctuating its energy and offering rich wisdom. By slowing down to align with the cycles of the natural world, we will feel empowered in our ability to recognize it’s effects on our energetic and mental shifts.
What is yin yoga? The practice of yin yoga focuses on releasing the fascia (aka the tissues around our muscles + organs). In contrast to a more fluid yang practice such as in vinyasa yoga, this is achieved through deep stretching, longer holds in postures, balanced with slow + deep breathing.
Join us live Sunday evenings from 7 to 8pm CST (recordings available for you to practice on your own time if requested)
November 15, 22, 29, December 6 and 13, 2020
Drop ins welcome — $12 per class.
